The inaugural Electronics Weekly Women Leaders in Electronics Awards showcases the achievement of women in our industry, celebrating them and shining a spotlight on the role models for the next generation of electronics design engineers.
Helen Weedon, Radical Moves MD & Founder and Satcom Innovation Group MD, has been selected as judge due to her broad knowledge of and extensive experience within the satellite and broadcast technology industries.
Electronics Weekly has led the way in promoting the positive role women play in the electronics industry. While in recent years, there has been some parity in the number of STEM qualifications gained by girls leaving school and at university degree level, there are still gaps evident in the workplace, in the design lab and the boardroom.
This innovative event recognises and celebrates the notable achievements of women across the electronics industry, in education, research, design excellence as well as women entrepreneurs and innovators who are advancing technology and enterprise.
