Douglas, Isle of Man, 28th April 2015 – The Satellite Interference Reduction Group (IRG) has announced the return of its popular interference reduction tours at CommunicAsia, from 2nd – 5th June 2015.

With a number of important industry resolutions and guidelines pertaining to satellite interference, companies from across the satellite industry have a responsibility to put tools in place to reduce the effects of interference. This tour will give participants practical advice and guidance on the tools available, and what steps they need to take to become as interference-free as possible.

Whilst last year, the focus of the tours was Carrier ID, the topics this year will be much wider. They will showcase technology from IRG members, featuring everything from smarter detection, using echo cancellation techniques to eliminate the interfering signal; the array of training course materials; new geolocation products and processes; GSM Demodulation and VSAT Interference Identification Tools.

Exhibitors confirmed as stops on the tour include Comtech EF Data, Eutelsat, The Global VSAT Forum, Inmarsat, Integrasys, Intelsat, Kratos, Newtec, Siemens Convergence Creators, VeriSat, and Work Microwave.

“With an amazing amount of technology advancements made in recent months in dealing with interference, we felt it was important to widen the scope of our tour to show how our member’s technology is a formidable weapon in reducing interference, and to give participants useful practical advice.” commented Martin Coleman, Executive Director, the Satellite Interference Reduction Group.

The tours will run every day during the exhibition at 11am. To sign up for free or for further information please visit https://satig.space/communicasia-interference-tour/
