Douglas, Isle of Man, 10th March 2015 – The Satellite Interference Reduction Group (IRG) will be hosting its next Workshop from 19th – 20th March at the Intelsat Headquarters in Washington D.C.

This latest workshop will once again outline the major initiatives aimed at mitigating satellite interference, educating the audience about recent developments, as well as giving case study examples of interference resolution.

This year’s workshop will pose a number of important questions including: How do we solve VSAT Interference? How can we better educate the users about Carrier ID? How can we improve training processes? How can we improve geolocation processes? It will also feature the latest technology and tools aimed at reducing satellite interference.

“A great deal of progress has already been made, however there is more still to be done,” commented Martin Coleman, Executive Director, the Satellite Interference Reduction Group. “This year, we will focus a great deal of effort in solving the VSAT interference challenge, educating users, and getting better at training, and this will be reflected in the workshop agenda.”

The workshop will include presentations from all aspects of the industry, including satellite operators, manufacturers, and users. It will also once again be interactive, giving delegates the opportunity to voice their opinions and concerns or ask questions of the group.

The workshop will take place from 1pm on Thursday 19th March, and from 9am until 4pm on 20th March. To register for the workshop, please visit https://satig.space/irg-workshop-19th-20th-march-washington-d-c/
