Space Tech Expo Europe
17-19 November 2026
Bremen, Germany
Space Tech Expo Europe is Europe’s largest B2B event for the space industry. At the show, you can expect to see a variety of space technologies used in manufacturing processes. The show brings together start-up companies and the big names in the industry to network and get business done all under one roof.
On Day 2 - Wednesday 18 November - SIG managing director Helen Weedon will moderate a panel on 6G.
11:40 6G: Positioning Europe
Speakers: Eric Anden - Ramon.Space, Jeroen Wigard - Nokia, Berthold Panzner - Airbus
Session: Expected to be deployed in 2030, 6G promises the transformation of the digital sector along with the automotive, medical, and manufacturing industries. But marrying traditional RF systems with modern telco-based technology comes with a number of challenges. In this panel, speakers will discuss:
- Today’s opportunity for Europe and regional advantages.
- Europe’s role in defining global standards, establishing its own position alongside the US and China priorities.
- Security and sovereignty implications.
- The ramifications of device antenna limitations and how we redefine architectures.
- How the region can effectively manage RF for a 6G future.
- What 6G landscape telcos and satellite operators should be planning for.
In the afternoon on Day 2 - Wednesday 18 November - SIG will host a workshop on RFI
15:30 Workshop: Tackling Radio Frequency Interference
Session: Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) has long been a challenge for the satcoms industry. Over the years, satellite operators have worked hard to find tools and processes for preventing RFI, as well as detecting and resolving it when it inevitably does occur. However, the current satcom environment is causing a number of new challenges, making RFI potentially more prevalent. This includes a rise in satellites in orbit and recent geopolitical challenges. This session will gather experts at the front end of dealing with RFI to share experiences, as well as discussing what new innovations are needed to handle RFI as the space environment continues to evolve. This session is open to all but especially relevant to both operators dealing with RFI and vendors creating solutions to solve it.
