Ledbury, UK, 30th May 2023 – The Satcoms Innovation Group (SIG) has announced the details of its upcoming workshop, to be hosted by QuadSAT in Denmark. The workshop engages and connects people working at operational level across the satcom industry and promotes discussion around current and future technical challenges, and ways to solve them collaboratively.

The agenda will cover many of the important topics and trends impacting the satcoms industry right now, such as antenna design for LEO, troubleshooting interference, and spectrum management. As usual, the forthcoming workshop will include a number of highly technical presentations, alongside ample opportunity for discussion and engagement. Attendees will have the chance to discuss the latest innovations, as well as the challenges and the opportunities facing the satellite industry today.

Helen Weedon, Managing Director, SIG, commented: “SIG technical workshops are unlike any other satcoms industry events, in that they enable operators and industry experts to come together to work collaboratively to resolve critical technical challenges. Having the opportunity to engage in this way and openly discuss these issues is crucial to the successful future of the satellite industry.”

Joakim Espeland, CEO, QuadSAT added: “The Satcoms Innovation Group’s work has played an important role in helping us to understand the industry challenges around interference, and we are thrilled to be hosting the next SIG Workshop at Odense in Denmark. SIG workshops are invaluable because they create the opportunity for technical engagement and discussion, and this is needed to identify solutions to the complex technical issues that the sector faces.”

The next SIG Workshop will be a hybrid event held in-person in Odense, Denmark, and virtually between 28th – 29th June 2023. To register, visit the SIG events page.
